A dental filling is a treatment used to fix teeth with small chips or cavities in them. The dentist will remove the damanaged part of the tooth and fill the hole with a special material to protect the tooth and prevent further damage.

A dental crown is a cap that is placed over a damaged or weakened tooth to protect it and restore its shape, size and strength. The crown is usually needed when a tooth is too weak or damaged to support a filling, or when a tooth has undergone a root canal. If you have a tooth that is cracked, decayed or has a large filling that needs to be replaced, you may need a dental crown.

A root canal is a dental procedure that is used to treat a tooth that has become infected or damaged deep inside. During a root canal, the dentist will remove the damaged or infected part of the tooth and clean the inside of the tooth. Then, the tooth will be filled and sealed to protect it from further damage. Root canals are usually needed when a tooth is decayed, cracked or injured, and the damage has reached the pulp or nerve inside the tooth, causing infection and sometimes even severe pain.

A dental bridge is an appliance used to replace one or more missing teeth. The bridge is made up of one or more artificial teeth that are attached to dental crowns on either side. The crowns are placed over the natural teeth on either side of the gap, and the artificial teeth fill the space where the missing teeth used to be. Dental bridges are usually recommended when a person is not a candidate for dental implants and has one or more missing teeth that need to be replaced.

Dental implants are usually recommended as a long-lasting, durable solution for missing teeth. Implants look and feel like natural teeth. The procedure involves several steps, including surgical placement of the implant, healing time for the implant to fuse with the jawbone and placement of the replacement tooth.
